Bu Mekkî sûre, bir öncekinin devamı niteliğinde kabul edilir. Genel düşünce şudur ki, Mekkeli müşrikler, Kâbe'yi Fil Ordusu'ndan kurtardığı için yalnızca Allah'a şükran duymalı ve O'na kulluk etmelidir. Allah'a nankörlük edenler ve çaresizlere karşı merhametsiz olanlar bir sonraki sûrede eleştirilir. Rahmân ve Rahîm olan Allah'ın adıyla.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.

Allah'ın Mekkelilere Büyük Lütfu

1. Kureyş'in güvenliği için— 2. Onların kış ve yaz yolculuklarındaki güvenliği için— 3. Öyleyse bu Ev'in Rabbine kulluk etsinler, 4. Onları açlıktan doyuran ve korkudan emin kılan.
لِإِيلَـٰفِ قُرَيْشٍ

إِۦلَـٰفِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ ٱلشِّتَآءِ وَٱلصَّيْفِ
٢
فَلْيَعْبُدُوا رَبَّ هَـٰذَا ٱلْبَيْتِ
٣
ٱلَّذِىٓ أَطْعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٍ وَءَامَنَهُم مِّنْ خَوْفٍۭ

Surah Quraysh, verse 1

لِإِيلَـٰفِ قُرَيْشٍ
Kureyş'in güvenliği için—

Surah Quraysh, verse 2

إِۦلَـٰفِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ ٱلشِّتَآءِ وَٱلصَّيْفِ
Onların kış ve yaz yolculuklarındaki güvenliği için—

Surah Quraysh, verse 3

فَلْيَعْبُدُوا رَبَّ هَـٰذَا ٱلْبَيْتِ
Öyleyse bu Ev'in Rabbine kulluk etsinler,
