Introduction

Relata-se que os pagãos ofereceram adorar somente a Allah por um ano, com a condição de que o Profeta (ﷺ) adorasse seus múltiplos deuses por um ano. Assim, esta sura mequense foi revelada, dizendo-lhes que ele (ﷺ) se dedicaria somente à adoração de Allah até o último suspiro de sua vida, o que é o ponto alto da próxima sura. Em Nome de Allah, o Clemente, o Misericordioso

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.

Sem Compromisso na Adoração a Allah

1. Dize: Ó vós, descrentes! 2. Eu não adoro o que adorais, 3. nem vós adorais o que eu adoro. 4. Eu nunca adorarei o que vocês adoram, 5. nem vocês adorarão jamais o que eu adoro. 6. Vocês têm a religião de vocês, e eu tenho a minha religião.”
قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ

لَآ أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ
٢
وَلَآ أَنتُمْ عَـٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ
٣
وَلَآ أَنَا۠ عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدتُّمْ
٤
وَلَآ أَنتُمْ عَـٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ
٥
لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِىَ دِينِ

Surah Al-Kāfirūn, verse 1

قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ
Dize: Ó vós, descrentes!

Surah Al-Kāfirūn, verse 2

لَآ أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ
Eu não adoro o que adorais,

Surah Al-Kāfirūn, verse 3

وَلَآ أَنتُمْ عَـٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ
nem vós adorais o que eu adoro.

Surah Al-Kāfirūn, verse 4

وَلَآ أَنَا۠ عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدتُّمْ
Eu nunca adorarei o que vocês adoram,
