Introduction

Esta sura mequense foi revelada para tranquilizar o Profeta (ﷺ). Uma vez que os filhos do Profeta faleceram na infância, Al-’Ȃṣ ibn Wâ'il, um infame pagão mequense, costumava dizer que Muḥammad (ﷺ) seria esquecido porque não tinha um filho para levar o seu nome. Hoje, ‘Muḥammad’ é o nome mais comum no mundo, enquanto o nome de Al-’Ȃṣ mal é mencionado. O Profeta (ﷺ) é ordenado a ser devotado somente a Allah, o que é o tema subjacente da próxima sura. بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. Certamente, Nós te concedemos a abundância de bem. 2. Portanto, ora e sacrifica exclusivamente ao teu Senhor. 3. Somente aquele que te odeia é que está verdadeiramente cortado (de todo bem).
إِنَّآ أَعْطَيْنَـٰكَ ٱلْكَوْثَرَ

فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَٱنْحَرْ

إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ ٱلْأَبْتَرُ

Surah Al-Kawthar, verse 1

إِنَّآ أَعْطَيْنَـٰكَ ٱلْكَوْثَرَ
Certamente, Nós te concedemos a abundância de bem.

Surah Al-Kawthar, verse 2

فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَٱنْحَرْ
Portanto, ora e sacrifica exclusivamente ao teu Senhor.

Surah Al-Kawthar, verse 3

إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ ٱلْأَبْتَرُ
Somente aquele que te odeia é que está verdadeiramente cortado (de todo bem).
