بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
1. I do swear by the Day of Judgment!
2. And I do swear by the self-reproaching soul!
3. Do people think We cannot reassemble their bones?
4. Yes (indeed)!
We are (most) capable of restoring (even) their very fingertips.
5. Still people want to deny what is yet to come,
6. asking (mockingly), “When is this Day of Judgment?
”
7. But when the sight is stunned,
8. and the moon is dimmed,
9. and the sun and the moon are brought together,
10. on that Day one will cry, “Where is the escape?
”
11. But no!
There will be no refuge.
12. On that Day all will end up before your Lord.
13. All will then be informed of what they have sent forth and left behind.
14. In fact, people will testify against their own souls,
15. despite the excuses they come up with.
لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ١
وَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلنَّفْسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ٢
أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ٣
بَلَىٰ قَـٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهُۥ٤
بَلْ يُرِيدُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ٥
يَسْـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ٦
فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلْبَصَرُ٧
وَخَسَفَ ٱلْقَمَرُ٨
وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ٩
يَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ ٱلْمَفَرُّ١٠
كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ١١
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ١٢
يُنَبَّؤُا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ١٣
بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٌ١٤
وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ١٥
