Qãf (Surah 50)

Introduction

Since the previous sûrah primarily addresses the believers, this sûrah mainly talks about the disbelievers—particularly the deniers of resurrection. References are made to earlier destroyed deniers and Allah’s infinite power to prove His ability to create and resurrect. The deniers of resurrection are told what to expect after death and judgment. The Prophet (ﷺ) is urged to be steadfast. The certainty of the Hereafter is emphasized both at the end of this sûrah and the beginning of the next.
