Introduction

இந்த மக்கீ சூரா, நபிகள் நாயகம் (ஸல்) அவர்களின் மாமாவான அபூ லஹபுக்கு (அதாவது, தீப்பிழம்புகளின் தந்தை) ஒரு எச்சரிக்கையாகும். அபூ லஹபும் அவரது மனைவி உம்மு ஜமீலும் நபிகள் நாயகம் (ஸல்) அவர்களை நிந்தித்து வந்தனர்; மேலும், அடுத்த சூராவில் விவரிக்கப்படும் ஏக இறைவனை மறுத்து வந்தனர். அளவற்ற அருளாளனும், நிகரற்ற அன்புடையோனுமாகிய அல்லாஹ்வின் திருப்பெயரால்

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

தீய தம்பதியரின் கதி

1. அபூலஹபின் இரு கைகளும் நாசமாகட்டும்; அவனும் நாசமாகட்டும். 2. அவனுடைய பொருளும், அவன் சம்பாதித்தவையும் அவனுக்குப் பயன்படாது. 3. அவன் கொழுந்து விட்டெரியும் நெருப்பில் எரிவான், 4. மேலும் அவனுடைய மனைவியும், விறகு சுமப்பவளுமாகிய 5. அவளுடைய கழுத்தில் ஈச்சம் நாராலான கயிறு இருக்கும்.

تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ

وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ

فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ

Surah Al-Masad, verse 1

تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ

அபூலஹபின் இரு கைகளும் நாசமாகட்டும்; அவனும் நாசமாகட்டும்.

Surah Al-Masad, verse 2

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ

அவனுடைய பொருளும், அவன் சம்பாதித்தவையும் அவனுக்குப் பயன்படாது.

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ

அவன் கொழுந்து விட்டெரியும் நெருப்பில் எரிவான்,
