horses obey their masters even in the most difficult situations (including battles), but many humans are arrogant with their lord all the time.
many people are impatient and care only about money.
on judgment day, nothing will be hidden from allah, and everyone will be paid back for what they did.
BACKGROUND STORY
The Prophet sent a group of his companions with their horses on a mission. When they took more time than expected, the hypocrites started to say, "The mission has failed for sure. They must have been killed." Soon, Allah sent this surah to give the Prophet the good news that everyone was coming back safe and the mission was successtul. The lesson here is that people shouldn't spread bad news if they are not too sure of what happened. {Recorded by Imam Al-Qurtubi}
HUMAN INGRATITUDE
1By those dashing horses—breathing hard, 2striking sparks of fire 'with their hooves', 3storming enemies' in the morning, 4stirring up clouds of dust, 5and pushing their way into the heart of enemy lines! 6Surely humankind is ungrateful to their Lord 7and they themselves are a living proof of this— 8and they love wealth far too much. 9Do they not know that when everything in the graves will be spilled out, 10and the secrets of the hearts will be brought to light 11surely their Lord is fully Aware of them on that Day.
وَٱلۡعَٰدِيَٰتِ ضَبۡحٗا 1فَٱلۡمُورِيَٰتِ قَدۡحٗا 2فَٱلۡمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبۡحٗا 3فَأَثَرۡنَ بِهِۦ نَقۡعٗا 4فَوَسَطۡنَ بِهِۦ جَمۡعًا 5إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٞ 6وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٞ 7وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلۡخَيۡرِ لَشَدِيدٌ 8أَفَلَا يَعۡلَمُ إِذَا بُعۡثِرَ مَا فِي ٱلۡقُبُورِ 9وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي ٱلصُّدُورِ 10إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمۡ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّخَبِيرُۢ11
