An-Nâs (Surah 114)
An-Nās (Humankind)
Introduction
Like the previous sûrah, this Medinian sûrah is a supplication against the evil of humans and jinn. This final sûrah emphasizes the fact that Allah is the Lord and Master of all and that He is the only One to be called upon for help, which connects full circle with the central theme of the first sûrah of the Quran. In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
Seeking Protection Against Evil Whispers
1. Say, (O Prophet,) “I seek refuge in the Lord of humankind, 2. the Master of humankind, 3. the God of humankind, 4. from the evil of the lurking whisperer— 5. who whispers into the hearts of humankind— 6. from among jinn and humankind.”
