IntroductionUnseen

This Meccan sûrah gives an account of a group of jinn who fully submitted to the One True God as soon as they heard the Prophet’s recitation of the Quran. In comparison, the Arab pagans are criticized for their polytheistic beliefs. The pagans are told that the Prophet’s duty is only to deliver the message. Bringing about the punishment, which the pagans demanded, is only within the power of Allah. The next sûrah provides more warning to the pagans and reassurance to the Prophet (ﷺ). In the Name of Allah—the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful
