LEARNING POINTS
allah has the right to swear by any of his creation, such as the sun, the moon, or the stars. muslims can only swear by allah.
the idol-worshippers are not safe from punishment, just like those more powerful people who were destroyed before.
allah tests people with poverty and richness. those who have faith in allah are always grateful, but the deniers either act arrogantly or keep complaining.
those who do evil in this world will regret it on judgment day, and those who do good will be honoured in jannah.
ALLAH'S POWER
1I swear by the early morning, 2and the ten nights 'of Hajj'! 3and the even and the odd, 4and the night when it passes! 5Is this oath 'strong' enough for those with common sense? 6Did you not see how your Lord dealt with 'Ad— 7'the people of Iram—with their' great structures, 8that had no equal in any other land; 9and Thamud who carved their homes into' the rocks in the Stone' Valley; 10and the Pharaoh of the mighty pyramids? 11They all did so much evil throughout the land, 12causing too much corruption there. 13So your Lord poured on them a blast of punishment 14Your Lord is really watching.,

Verse 12: The first 10 days and nights of the month of Zul-Hijjah when hajj is done.
Verse 14: Odd numbers include 1, 3, 5, etC, and even numbers include 2, 4,6, etc. Everything t that Allah has created in this world is either odd or even in number.

SIDE STORY
One day, a king asked his advisor, "Why do I see my servant happy all the time?" The advisor said, "Let's test him with the 99 rule." The king asked what that was, and the advisor said, "Tonight, I'll put 99 dinars (gold coins) in a bag, write 100 dinars on the bag, put it in front of his house, and see how he will react." The king agreed. In the morning, the servant was very sleepy and grumpy. The king asked him, "What happened?" He said, "Last night, I found a bag in front of my house. The bag was supposed to have 100 dinars. But when my wife and I counted the money, one dinar was missing. We kept counting for two hours. We searched outside the house. We thought our neighbour actually took that dinar. I woke him up at 3:00 in the morning, and I asked if he stole my dinar. He told me to go back to sleep and see my doctor first thing in the morning. Thenl told my wife, 'Maybe you stole it. She said., 'No, you found the bag. You must be the thiefI said, 'No, I am not. Maybe the kids did it We stayed up all night counting the money, searching for that dinar, and accusing each other." The advisor said to the king, "He couldn't enjoy the 99 dinars because of one missing dinar. According to the following passage, some people don't thank Allah for His blessings because they think this is what they deserve anyway. But if Allah doesn't give them what they think they deserve, they keep whining and fail to appreciate what they already have.

BAD NEWS FOR THE DENIERS
15Now, whenever a human being is tested by their Lord through His' generosity and blessings, they brag, "My Lord has honoured me 'with what I deserve'!" 16But when He tests them by limiting their resources, they protest, "My Lord has humiliated me 'for no reason'!" 17Absolutely not! In fact, you are not 'even' kind to the orphan, 18and you do not encourage each other to feed the poor. 19And you eat up 'others'' inheritance with greed, 20and love wealth far too much. 21Enough! When the earth is crushed over and over, 22and your Lord comes to judge' with angels, rows upon rows, 23and Jahannam is brought forth on that Day—this is when each 'evil' person will remember every sin'. But what is the point of remembering then? 24They will cry, "Oh no! I wish I had sent ahead 'something good for my true' life." 25On that Day, He will punish them' so hard, like no other, 26and tie them' so tight, like no other.

GOOD NEWS FOR THE FAITHFUL
27Allah will say to the faithful, "O you Soul at peace! 28Return to your Lord, pleased 'with Him' and pleasing 'to Him!. 29So join My servants, 30and enter My Jannah."
