HORRORS OF JUDGMENT DAY
1When the sky splits open, 2and when the stars fall away, 3and when the seas overflow into each other, 4 and when the graves spill out, 5'then' each soul will know what it did and what it should have done.
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتۡ 1وَإِذَا ٱلۡكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتۡ 2وَإِذَا ٱلۡبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتۡ 3عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٞ مَّا قَدَّمَتۡ وَأَخَّرَتۡ5
WORDS OF WISDOM
Over the years, people have learned to fly like birds, swim like fish, and build dams like bea-vers. The following passage tells us that it's about time that we start livinglike human beings humbling ourselves with Allah and caring for each other. Some people feel that they are the
centre of the universe, and challenge Allah's author- ity. They have developed weapons that can wipe out whole countries with the push of one button. Many worship their own desires, money, and idols. They don't care about Judgment Day, and think that their Creator has no power Over them. But they quickly cry for help as soon as they are attacked by a virus, break their leg, or if their life is in danger. Allah tells us here that all deeds are recorded and everyone will return to Him for judgment.
The Prophet said that no one will go to Jannah only because of their good deeds. (Record- ed by Imam Al-Bukhari & Imam Muslim} When we pray, fast, or give charity we are basically thanking Allah for creating us and giving us eyes, ears, tongues, and good health. We thank Allah for our money through charity, and we thank Him for good health through fasting, and o on. Therefore, on Judgment Day, we will not deserve Jannah only for our good deeds-Allah will show us mercy and give us Jannah for our gratitude.
HUMAN INGRATITUDE
6O humanity! What has made you so bold against your Lord, the Most Generous, 7Who created you, fashioned you, and perfected your design, 8shaping you in whatever form He wanted? 9But no! In fact, you deny the 'final' Judgment, 10While you are closely watched 11by noble angels, recording 'everything'. 12They know whatever you do.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلۡكَرِيمِ 6ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ 7فِيٓ أَيِّ صُورَةٖ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ 8كَلَّا بَلۡ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ 9وَإِنَّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَحَٰفِظِينَ 10كِرَامٗا كَٰتِبِينَ 11يَعۡلَمُونَ مَا تَفۡعَلُونَ12
WARNING OF JUDGMENT DAY
13Surely the people of goodness will be Enjoyment, 14and the wicked will be in Hell, 15burning in it on Judgment Day, 16and they will have no escape from it. 17What will make you realize what Judgment Day is? 18Again, what will make you realize what Judgment Day is? 19It is' the Day nobody will be able to help another in any way, and all authority belongs only to Allah on that Day.
إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٖ 13وَإِنَّ ٱلۡفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٖ 14يَصۡلَوۡنَهَا يَوۡمَ ٱلدِّينِ 15وَمَا هُمۡ عَنۡهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ 16وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ 17ثُمَّ مَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ 18يَوۡمَ لَا تَمۡلِكُ نَفۡسٞ لِّنَفۡسٖ شَيۡٔٗاۖ وَٱلۡأَمۡرُ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلَّهِ19
