LEARNING POINTS

LEARNING POINTS

In this surah, Allah proves His existence and His ability to create and bring people back to life after their death.

He promises a great reward for the believers and a terrible punishment for the disbelievers.

The idol-worshippers are told that they do not have a good reason to reject Allah and His Prophet.

JUDGMENT IS THE TRUTH

1By Mount Tur! 2And by the Book written 3on open pages for all to read'. 4And by the Holy House always visited. 5And by the sky raised high. 6And by the seas set on fire on Judgment Day. 6And by the seas set on fire on Judgment Day. 7Surely the punishment of your Lord will come-. 8. no one can stop it. 9.on the Day when the heavens will be shaken violently. 10and the mountains will be blown away completely.

HORROR WAITING FOR THE DENIERS

11Then woe on that Day to the deniers, 12Who are engrossed in vain talk, amusing themselves. 13The Day they are violently pushed into the Fire of Hell, 14[They will be told], "This is the Fire which you used to deny. 15Is this magic, or do you not see? 16Burn in it! It is the same whether you are patient or impatient. You are only being recompensed for what you used to do."

WORDS OF WISDOM

WORDS OF WISDOM

According to verses 17-24, the believers will receive some great rewards in Jannah. The believing men will have wives with beautiful eyes. Now, someone may ask, 'What is the reward of the believing women?' To answer this question, let's think about the following story.

There was a big celebration. Many kings, queens, royal families, important guests, and common people were invited. A reporter from a local newspaper covered the event. To give the readers a sense of the awesome celebration, he only described the amazing food, drinks, and sweets that were served to the common people. No details were given about the treatment of the royal guests. Readers were left to wonder about the incredible treats which the royal families received. Even if the reporter tried to describe those royal treats, it would have been beyond the readers' imagination.

Verses 17-24 talk about the reward of the regular believers. Readers of the Quran are left to wonder about the reward of others who will receive special honours on Judgment Day. No details are given about the reward of

.Prophet Muhammad and his family.

. Other prophets and their families.

. Great companions like Abu Bakr, Onmar, Othman, and Ali .(the wife of Pharaoh).

. Great women like Maryam (the mother of 'Isa), Asiyah (the Prophet's wife), and Fațimah (the Prophet's daughter). {Recorded Khadijah by Imam Ahmad}

. Great scholars of Islam like Imam Al-Bukhari, lmam Muslim, Imam Abu Hanifah, Imam Ash-Shafi'i, Imam Malik, and Imam Ahmad.

.The shahid-a person who dies a painful death for a good cause, such as those who lose their lives defending their country, women who die giving birth to a child, and those who die of major illnesses like cancer. (Recorded by Imam Ahmad}.

. Believing women who help men go to Jannah. If a person has a mother, the Prophet said that Jannah lies under her feet (Recorded by Iman An-Nasa'i}, A wife takes her husband to Jannoh because she completes the second half of his faith. (Recorded by Imam At-Tabarani) If a man takes care of his daughters or sisters, they will help him go to Jonnah (Recorded by Imam At-Tirmizi)

. No one can imagine what Allah has prepared for them, because their reward is beyond human imagination.

.The Prophet said that Jannah has a hundred levels. The distance between one level and another is like the distance between the heavens and the earth. {Recorded by Imam 5 will Everyone will be placed in a level based on their good deeds. In some cases, the be in level 70 for example and their children will be in level 50. Allah knows that the parents' happiness is not complete without their children. There are two options here:

1. For the parents to go down to the level of their children.

2. For the children to go up to the level of their parents.

According to verse 21 below, Allah will raise the children to the level of their parents because He is the Most Generous.

verses 35-36 ask those who deny Allah:

.Did you come about by chance?

. Did you create yourselves ?

.Or did you create the universe?

They couldn't have been created by nothing, because for every creation there has to be a creator. They couldn't have created themselves, because they had to exist first before they could create themselves. And they couldn't have created the universe, because it existed long before they were born. The only logical answer is that Allah created them.

• If it's crazy to think that a computer was created by nothing, it's even more crazy to think that the human brain was created by nothing.

•If it's not logical to say that a book wrote itself, it's more illogical to say that our DNA wrote itself.

•If it's impossible to think that a camera has no designer, it's even more impossible to think that the human eye has no designer.

If it's impossible to think that a camera has no designer, it's even more impossible to think that the human eye has no designer.

If paint falls by mistake on a wall, what are the chances of it creating a perfect picture of a beautiful goldfish? According to Common sense something cannot come from nothing, and order cannot come from disorder. This amazing universe with its galaxies, laws, order, and beauty proves the existence of a Wise, Master Creator.

WHY DO MAKKANS DENY THE TRUTH?

29So ‘continue to’ remind ‘everyone, O Prophet’, because you, by the blessing of your Lord, are not a fortune-teller or a crazy man. 30Or do they say, “He is a poet—we are waiting for something terrible to happen to him!”? 31Say, “Keep waiting! I too am waiting with you.” 32Or do their ‘smart’ minds lead them to this ‘contradiction’? Or are they ‘just’ a people who have gone too far in evil? 33Or do they say, “He made this ‘Quran’ up!”? In fact, they have no faith. 34Let them then come up with something like it, if what they say is true! 35Or were they created by nothing, or did they just create themselves? 36Or did they create the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no true belief ‘in Allah’. 37Or are they in charge of the treasures of your Lord, or are they in control ‘of everything’? 38Or do they have a stairway, by which they listen secretly ‘to the angels in the heavens’? Then let those who do this bring a clear proof. 39Or does Allah have daughters ‘as you claim’ while you ‘prefer to’ have sons? 40Or are you ‘O Prophet’ charging them a fee ‘for delivering the message’ so they have to borrow tons of money? 41Or do they have access to ‘the heavenly Book in’ the unseen, so they copy it ‘for all to see’? 42Or do they want to make evil plans ‘against the Prophet’? Then their plans will backfire on them. 43Or do they have a god other than Allah? Allah is high above whatever ‘fake gods’ they make equal to Him!

Verse 32: Because he cannot be a smart poet and a crazy man at the same time.

Verse 39: Some idol-worshippers claimed that the angels were the daughters of Allah.

Verse 41: This heavenly Book, known as Al-Lawh Al-Mahfouz (the Preserved Tablet), is kept with Allah. It has all the details of everything that happened in the past and everything that will happen in the future.

SUPPORTING THE PROPHET

44Even if they saw a ‘deadly’ chunk falling from the sky, they would still say, “This is just a pile of clouds.” 45So leave them until they face their Day when they will be stunned— 46the Day their evil plans will not benefit them at all, and they will not be helped. 47Also, those who do wrong will definitely have another punishment before that ‘Day’, but most of them do not know. 48So be patient with your Lord’s decision ‘O Prophet’, for you are truly under Our ‘caring’ Eyes. And praise the glory of your Lord when you rise. 49And praise Him during part of the night, and after the stars fade away.

Verse 45: They will faint or die from horror.

Verse 47: Their defeat at the Battle of Badr.
